HEALTH EQUITY STATEMENT

LHCQF is committed to advancing health equity for all people in our state.

Guiding Principles:
• We support the protection of human rights, the reduction of health care disparities and improving access to person-centered, interdisciplinary care among all populations.
• We believe each human life has value and meaning, and everyone is entitled to high-quality care where their own uniqueness and values are respected.
• We promote equality and improving the health and well-being of all persons, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin or citizenship status, geography, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, age or socioeconomic status.

We commit to:
• Working toward diversifying our staff, board , and committees, creating a culture of diversity and inclusivity with an intension to understand all viewpoints and reduce biases.
• Working collaboratively across stakeholders and sectors to effectively address structural, social, economic, and political factors that influence health.
• Building relationships with non-traditional partners for more creative and lasting solutions.
• Incorporating an equity and diversity lens with every project.
