The Program that will determine Medicare payment adjustments. Using a composite performance score, eligible clinicians (EP’S) may revive a payment bonus, a payment penalty, or no payment adjustment. CMS utilizes 4 performance categories Quality, Improvement Activities, Promoting Interoperability, & Cost. The categories are scored and make up the (EP’s) Final MIP’s score. The final score determines the payment adjustment applied to your Medicare Part B claims.
